ADULT CLASSES
The goal of the Education Team is to provide enough classes of interest that every adult of our church family would have an opportunity to become part of a Sunday school or midweek Christian Education class. The following is a list of classes that will be offered in September.

SHORT TERM DISCIPLE BIBLE STUDY
A short term Disciple Bible Study will be offered this fall, beginning in September. Reverend Steve Harsh will lead this eight week in-depth high commitment Bible study. Short-Term Disciple Bible Studies make the life-changing courses easier to be part of our busy lives and for those people who are unable to commit to longer studies.
Weekly group meetings are designed to last 60-90 minutes with a video segment for each session with interpretive presentations from biblical scholars, contextual presentations, roundtable discussions and opportunities for reflection, contemplation or inspiration on some aspect of scripture studied.
We will begin with the study called “Invitation To Genesis”. This study approaches the Book of Genesis as a story of beginnings from start to finish. Through the study, participants will be invited to listen afresh to the witness of this opening book of the Hebrew Bible and to understand, more clearly, God’s purpose in beginning to form a people with the likes of Adam and Eve, Abraham and Sarah, and Jacob and Esau.
The class will be offered 7:00 p.m. Monday or Thursday. If you are interested in joining this class, please sign up in the church lobby or call Denise (873-8851). If you are new to the faith, new to the church or would like a place to connect with God and people of our church family, please consider joining us in September. This class will be open to the entire community, so take the time to invite a friend, as well.
